Job Description
My Client a leading IT services provider requires a Server Technician to undertake the following within the retail environment.
Working in a busy Development and Support team facilitating the transition from a Windows / NT server client system to a centralised server based environment.
You will work in a shift pattern in order to support engineers installations and act as 3rd and 4th line support for all elements of the infrastructure.
Able to work on your own initiative and as part of a team in order to develop a distributed infrastructure.
You will effectively represent the team when working with other groups in developing, designing and supporting a distributed infrastructure.
Knowledge and experience is required of; Citrix, use of and creation of Support tools in Citrix SMS - Managing release, creating releases, trouble shooting and support.
Microsoft Operating Systems
Windows NT in a Sever Client environment Windows XP & VISTA for use on Workstations AMT Vpro BIT 9 Developing support tools.
In addition to your core competencies, you should also have a working knowledge of these competencies:
Architecture & Technology Planning, Business Change Analysis, Projects and Programmes, Infrastructure Support, Application Support, Risk Management
